Pacsafe TravelSafe 12L Portable Safe & Bag Insert 

"I had been looking for a car safe for some time when I noticed the illustration on the Travelsafe I had recently purchased for vacation travel. It shows the safe secured under a car seat. Problem solved. Not only does this item provide great peace of mind on vacation, when valuables are especially dear, but I find I can use it all the time as a car safe. I like it's compact design. The one drawback to my original PacSafe was that since it was designed for keeping luggage safe, it was not all that useful for small items. This is an item that I will always take on the road with me."

"I first purchased the Pacsafe one size up and it was bulky and much too large for my purposes. This one is great for my MacBook Air, ipad, point and shoot camera and passport. To not have to be concerned with carrying a key, I replaced the lock with a small combo lock (mini size of the old school combo school locker, found at Target in a pack of three). Works great! It also rolls up small...I read from another reviewer that the mesh wires could potentially set off alarms at security and the reviewer recommended packing it in checked luggage and pulling it out after arriving at your destination. So, I do not know if one would be stopped at security if it were in one's carry on. An extra bonus, the wire is long enough to also lock up my Sea-tac, rolling back pack!"

"I purchased this for my trip to Cancun. I liked the fact that you could fit a laptop as well as other items in it. I didn't have to worry if the hotel safe was big enough for all our stuff. We put our passports, jewelry, extra money, and iPads in it when we were not using them. It was easy to use and keep our items secure. I purchased a combo lock to use instead using the one with the keys that comes with it. I figured it was one less thing to lose or keep track of. I would highly recommend this to anyone."

"This was so useful at my destination wedding, we kept everything locked up and safe. Easy to secure anywhere and easy to pack in your luggage. It is a little heavy, but then I would expect that of a travel safe. Fits ALOT of stuff in."

"Never got to use it. Bought it for an extended trip but it was too large & too heavey for what I needed. Didn't have time to return it before I left for 6 wks. Construction is good & a smaller size with less weight might have worked. By the time I got back it was too late to return it... per eBags policy...too bad."

"Light weight answer for securing your valuables when you don't want to carry them. Was able to put my both my tabelt and my laptop in it. Even with those two in this bag there was room left over for my point and shoot digital camera, and a folder of important documents. Replaced the lock with a combination lock because I loose keys. Had no trouble finding a lock with the same size shackle so security was not compromised."

"This review is after my first time using it, and I was pleased overall. It packed easily in my carry-on, and it was large enough to hold my 13" laptop, Kindle, and travel documents, with room to spare. The cable is very long, which makes it easy to secure it to whatever you choose. The padlock seems sturdy, not easily picked. You can use your own lock, I believe. My only negative is that the hole in the key is too small to attach it to my key fob. They should come with a sturdy key ring, or something so it can be attached to a lanyard--anything so it won't be lost during travel. Bottom line: I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. I can even see this being of use for a college student to secure small valuables in his/her dorm room."

"I couldn't believe that there was no lock on my new Mac Book Air. This is the only way I've found to lock it down. It's a little awkward, but it does work. It will also hold an assortment of phones, wallets, even the iPad as well. Basically it acts as a safe when one isn't provided in the hotel room."

"Perfect, just as pictured. Seems very secure. (Haven't had the opportunity to have it "tested" yet, though. Knock on wood.) More importantly, it gives me peace of mind when leaving valuables behind."
