"Very nice quality. The inside has one zippered side pocket and a small pocket for keys or a small phone. It also has a small zippered pouch. The bag works well at holding 8.5x11 papers and small folders."

"I was looking for a slightly smaller bag that would stand up by itself, and Piel Medium Market Bag gave me exactly what I wanted. The leather is good quality. I like that the lining is light in color (a light grey for the black bag)--makes it easier to find things. The zippered compartment I use for my keys, and the smaller compartment fits my phone (though it would not be wide enough for the newer smart phones, I don't think). The straps are a good length--long enough for over the shoulder, but I can hold it in my hand without dragging on the ground. I wish the straps were wider, as others have said--don't know how well they will hold up. An outside pocket of some kind would be useful. Overall, a very nice bag."

"Great bag with the supple, durable leather which I have found to be characteristic of Piel workmanship. This is actually the second Piel Market bag I have purchased; the first is the wonderful Extra-Large Market Bag which I bought three years ago and which has seen consistent work use and international travel on several occasions -and still looks and works beautifully. Although I have not used the new Medium Market Bag for very long, I can tell that even though it is smaller than I expected (it's more a typical everyday purse size and my 15" laptop and/or work binders won't fit), my e-reader/tablet and even an Ipad do fit comfortably. There is a cellphone/smartphone pocket and a tethered removable coin purse which holds transit cards and coffee change at the ready; the zippered compartment safely secures my small make-up kit and wallet. As mentioned by another reviewer, I too would like to see the straps a bit thicker on this bag and would welcome any additional interior or exterior organizational pockets Piel might choose to introduce."
