"With the increasingly restrictive baggage allowance of 50 pounds for air travel, having lightweight luggage is essential so that one can have more freedom in the weight of what items they pack. This 28" upright is great for its light weight of about 10 pounds, yet still proved to be quite durable on a recently completed trip to Europe, where it passed through the baggage handling systems of the Dallas-Fort Worth, Heathrow, Lisbon, and Madrid airports. When I first received the bag, I was a little disappointed that the back panel didn't have any protective rub strips as are common on many bags, but the ballistic nylon material proved durable and showed little or no scuffing after the trip was completed. I liked the wine-colored fabric for being a bit more quickly recognizable among other luggage. This bag is cavernous! In that regard, the 28-inch size was more than I needed for the allowable weight, and I could easily have gone with a smaller size. As it was however, one plus to this size was that I could easily stand my shoes on end and pack 3 pair with no problem at the bottom end of the bag, while leaving plenty room for clothes. With use of a couple of large compression bags, my 50-pound limit was reached before the main compartment was full. Needless to say, the external pockets went unused. So, this bag has room to spare if you're willing to pay excess baggage fees should you end up packing extra clothes or picking up souvenirs for your return home. The only complaint I have, and a relatively small one, is that I'm sure the bag would roll and handle much more readily if larger wheels were put on it. The existing design with small wheels doesn't lend readily to rolling up and down stairs, and they're also a bit more difficult to use on thicker carpet. The small wheels used are really intended more for upright, rollaround use than as a pull-along bag. Apart from that, I give this bag a very favorable recommendation."

"After a lot of research I found this to be the lightest bag on the market. The pivot wheels make manuvering in lines at the airport effortless. I can pack this bag for a 3 week trip with numerous shoe changes ( encluding boots) with room to spare. I am VERY happy with the look and performance of this bag! But the biggest plus is that I don't have to worry about the 50# weight limits of the airlines. Oh it also has a handle at the bottom of the bag to make it easy to grab from baggage claim! A+"

"I like how light this big bag is which came in very handy for my trip to Europe. However one thing that was very annoying was that the wheels didn't want to cooperate with me quite frequently when trying to wheel the bag in a straight line. Found that pretty annoying."

"Excellent piece of luggage. Super light, durable and easy to roll. Color is very pretty and easy to spot at the luggage claim area. Just bought a second piece, only a few inches smaller."

"I like the looks of the luggage. It also has 4 wheels for stability and ease of movement. However, the zipper gets stuck and I have difficulty getting it to move on its track."

"I bought this item for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She used it on the way home and the whole side seam ripped. She was sent to someone who repaired it but now there is stitching all on the inside because that is the only way to repair it. I would not recommend this bag to anyone. It was very expensive but I did not get what I paid for."

"does not wheel easily; zipper is difficult and the top continues to fall down on me while I am using i the one time we tried it over a weekend. I have the return labels and have to get to the fed ex store to return. I plan to do so within the 60 days"

"I ordered this luggage for a trip to French Polynesia; I wanted something big and light to optimize packing space. My first impression was great; it's a spacious, beautiful bag, and the pomegranate swirl pattern stands out on a baggage carousel. The suitcase itself - wheels, material, handle - weathered our travels in excellent condition. However, the zipper on the main compartment is another story. It kept jamming on the bottom corner and doesn't glide easily. I couldn't get the luggage to zip shut on my very first use; my husband had to force the zipper closed. (Bear in mind the suitcase wasn't even 2/3 full - you'll reach the weight limit before you fill all the space.) After having to to force the zipper around the bottom corner every time I closed the suitcase, the stitching started to come undone there. With RBH's approval, I took the bag to a local service center for repair under warranty. They repaired the stitching, but the zipper still jams along the bottom corner, so I fear it's just a matter of time until the stitching becomes undone again or the zipper teeth break. I'm nervous about using the case again for our upcoming holiday travels because of the problematic zipper (what if security inspects the bag and can't get it zipped shut again?); hopefully the bag will make the trip OK. The zipper is a huge disappointment on what is otherwise an outstanding suitcase. And based on past reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one to experience this issue. I wish RBH would address the zipper problem, and offer to replace the entire zipper (rather than just repair the stitching) when customers have an issue with it. If you order this bag, just be sure to test the zipper a few times before you plan to use it. It seems the problem is that the zipper along the top/front of the case wants to curl upward at the corner, making it difficult to zip shut."

"Overall this is a very good suitcase. I had no problems with it during my trip out of the country. I've only used it once, but it traveled great."
