"The Scully Messenger Brief is a gorgeous, high quality bag and for the price, this bag is a steal. It is durable, relatively lightweight and carries everything I need for the day including my iPad, camera, sunglasses, and all of my everyday items. The version eBags sent me is an updated version of the one displayed on eBags.com. Differences include: - black liner (no pattern) - large interior zip pocket included - laptop shuttle no longer included - front open pockets have been replaced by one large zippered compartment that includes an organizer that can accommodate pens, keys, business cards, pockets for gadgets (iPhone, iPod, slim camera), etc (There is lots of room) - plastic clips designed to secure the flap to the base of the bag have also been removed I consider all of the changes improvements as the lack of many zippered pockets, inclusion of cheap plastic clips, and useless open front pockets in the bag originally pictured above almost made me pass on this bag. The look of the bag sold me and I was willing to put up with the issues above, but I am very pleased that the bag that arrived at my door had so many improvements. As a 28 year old IT professional I fully recommend this bag to young professionals looking for a unique, stylish and extremely functional bag. Thanks eBags! I will definitely do business with you again in the future."

"First, the bag looks awesome. It has a sort of Mad Max/Star Wars style look, futuristic but still rugged and utilitarian. I gave it a 10 for style. I do wish the strap was wider since a thin strap, even with the padded attachment, make a heavy bag harder to carry when it's weighing between your neck & shoulder. For price/value, I gave it an 8. It seems to be a well made bag. The leather is substantial and feels very durable but the price reflects that. It isn't cheap but you certainly seem to get what you pay for. The low score was for organization. It hasn't reinvented the messenger bag but then, I didn't expect it to. Still, my only real complaints lie with the organization features. The two small outer pockets are too small and tight to fit much into. A mobile phone, wallet or CD case will do at best. The zipper pocket on the outer flap is fine, best for papers, etc., same as the zipper pocket under the flap and inside. The large interior of the bag is nice but could possibly use an insert to keep it flat so it stands better. The zippered pouch under the flap has your extra pockets, key hook, etc. My main complaints are with the pouch. The key hook sits low and on the far side of the zipper, so the keys "lay inside" more than hang on the hook. Also, being on the far side of the zipper makes it so you can't just slightly open the pouch and grab your keys, you have to completely open it. And I think the pouch is too short. When the loops that act as pen holders actually have a pen in them, you can't zip the pouch closed, at least not with any pens I've found. The other pockets within the pouch are rather small and tight as well and I had trouble finding exactly which of the items I regularly carry in my bag could easily fit into them. Overall it's a great bag but I think a little more real world, user friendly design could fix these issues and make it a straight 10 out of 10 bag."

"The only thing I'm not wild about is how long the strap is. I'm pretty short, so the bag hangs really low on me and I can't adjust it to be any shorter as it's already on its shortest setting. Other than that, I love it!"
