"I've been very happy with this backpack since the moment I received it. I'm an editor, and it's my commuter bag to and from work every day; I wanted something that was more professional-looking than a sports backpack but would also hold up to rain and snow and daily abuse. It's made of very rugged, pebbly dark oiled leather that never seems to show dirt or scratches. The back panel is heavy-duty nylon and the interior is nylon-lined. The pockets are perfectly organized for me, including a handy small zipper pocket up top where I keep my commuter rail pass. The laptop pocket (which I use mostly for my iPad) is well padded and in the middle of the bag rather than against the back or the outside. It's a very roomy bag. The leather handle on top is tough and has stood up to a lot of flinging around. It looks like a much more expensive bag than it is; I'm often asked where I got it and what brand it is. If I have any tiny complaint, it's that the placement of the straps is a bit wide for most female shoulders, so they ride a bit to the outside. Still secure and well-balanced, though. A key leash would be great, but I use one from another bag clipped onto a zipper tab. Overall a tough, handsome, well-made backpack that I would highly recommend."

"I was looking for a backpack that looked more "professional" than something a kid would carry to school. So far, I have been really happy with this backpack. When it arrived, I was concerned it might be too small, but it will hold a lot more than it looks like it would. On a daily basis, I carry my laptop, a planner/organizer and some notepads, my laptop charger and another device of similar size/shape to the laptop charger, plus the usual pens, tissues, small umbrella, etc. And I have still had room to carry some part or other extra equipment in it when necessary. I love the organization of it - everything has it's place. That's probably what I like best about it. Only a couple of negatives; the backpack is a bit warm on my back if I am wearing over both shoulders. The strap is a bit slippery if I am wearing a "slippery" type of jacket (like a windbreaker or something) - I have a hard time keeping it on my shoulder when I am carrying it with just one strap when I'm wearing this type of jacket. Also, I do think the styling looks fairly masculine. So, good if you are a guy, not so good if you are a woman. But overall I really like this backpack, and I would definitely recommend it!"
