"This is really a nice sturdy bag. it's well padded and I like the flap over the laptop compartment. There is enough space for the laptop, IPad and accessories. I only wish there was a loop on the side for a water bottle, otherwise it's great. However, if you have a lot of bulky items the slim profile may not be able to accomodate all your needs."

"My 13-inch white MacBook finally gave out after six and a half years, so I ordered a 13-inch MacBook Pro and decided to look for a bag. eBags has about 2,700 bags that would fit the new laptop, so I used eBag's criteria and narrowed the field to three, including the STM Alley. Well . . . . . . when I ordered the white MacBook from Apple on Black Friday of 2006, I ordered the STM Alley, too. I'm retired for two years but while working I carried the MacBook everywhere, in the STM Alley, along with a backup drive, all the cables and hubs to connect camera, camcorder, display, iPod and earphones (remember iPods?), and stacks of paper. When I was on the road I could log in to the office network, and the MacBook and STM Alley were my office. Carried snacks, too. The bag is very compact, but you can load it until it bulges. Today there is almost nothing to show the STM Alley's age and level of use except for the dog hair in the Velcro. Since we saw the excellence of the STM Alley, my wife and I have bought only STM cases and bags for our gadgets. We are not sorry. Buy it."

"I was a little apprehensive about buying this bag as I've used a much larger backpack style bag business travel for the past 10 years. I recently attended a week long technical conference out of town and wanted to pack light. I bought this bag knowing that I didn't want to carry my normal backpack style bag 8-10 hours each day at the conference moving from session to session. This bag worked exceptionally well and exceeded my expectations. I carried my Mac Book Pro, power cord/charger, phone charger, writing implements, a box of mints, and other small items with room to spare. The compartments in this bag are well organized and spacious considering the overall size of the bag. The carrying strap has plenty of adjustment and is comfortable for all day use. The only minor critique I have is the small pocket that is included on the strap. It seems to have been designed for a cell phone. Mu iPhone 4 fit but it was very snug. With a little more use is may be easier to get in and out of the pocket. A larger phone wouldn't fit. All in all a very smart design. I would highly recommend it to anyone that doesn't have the space requirements of a larger bag/pack."

"Overall I find this messenger back quite useful. I use it daily to carry my 15" Macbook Pro 4.1 (early 2008 model) as well as the charger and M570 Logitech mouse. I do feel that the bag is lacking in smaller item organization (pen, flash drive, chords, etc) so I end up just placing said items into a loose pocket. Carrying my charger and mouse to and from work has always been an issue as there really is never a dedicated pocket for such items, but this bag so far has been the most compatible. It could really benefit from one more pocket I believe. The tablet compartment seems like it could be really useful if I had one (waiting on Wacom's summer release ~.^). For now I just place my charger in that pocket to minimize placing too much bulk in one area. I would also like to mention that with all of my necessary equipment loaded into the bag it is really comfortable to carry around."

"I bought this computer bag for my husband, who carries a work computer and an ipad. He carries it daily and the the design, little things like the strap is hinged so it doesnt flap and plenty of storage. Depending on the size of your computer, enough room for a small lunch as well."

"This bag is designed really well for functionality and style. I like the charcoal gray color vs. black. All of the compartments are really useful and roomy. I feel totally safe carrying my laptop in this bag and I like having the option of tossing in pens, papers, and what not so that I don't need a separate bag. The padded strap is great, as is the carrying handle--very sturdy. There is simply nothing about this bag that I would change."
