"I will begin this review by saying, I am currently living in Japan. I bought the scout 2, one week before I left. It is my second STM purchase, as I also own the convoy book bag. When the scout 2 arrived, the first thing I noticed was the amount of padding that surrounded the iPad. I believe that when your iPad is in the scout 2, it is safer than anywhere else you could put it. I also really like the minimalist design. If you want a "fashionable" bag, this is not the one for you. The bag fits any of the three generations of iPads, and I would assume it fits other tablets as well. There is space for small items as well, such as: cell phone, wallet, keys, passport, maps, etc. I came to Japan in what's known as the "rainy season", so for the first month there was constant rain. I would not recommend the bag having prolonged exposure to rain, but I can say my iPad was completely dry every time. Though it has only been 3 months, I can truly say that this bag is durable. I take my iPad EVERYWHERE with me in Japan. So naturally, my scout 2 goes everywhere with me. It has been at my side for the last 90 days and it shows no sign of stopping! Overall, if you want a bag that protects your iPad/tablet, for a good price, this is your bag. I will always buy from STM, their products are second to none!"

"Perfect size for carrying my iPad2, Kindle and cellphone without being bulky. I also like the interior zippered pocket for my wallet. The exterior clip is sturdy and keeps things secure inside. And the canvas material should hold up for a long time. This bag is very well made and designed. I opt to use the strap without the padded guard, which I found to be annoying because it kept sliding."

"I bought this for my husband for work. He is an Electrical Contractor and uses this bag to store his Ipad and to protect it in his work van. He wasn't real crazy about it til he started using it. You know how men are about using a bag to carry things. Now he loves it and uses it everyday with his job. And he has had friends and other people in different trades asking him where he got this particular bag."
