"I purchased this backpack as my primary carry-on to tote my laptop and other work essentials for weekly work travel via plane (ie four flights per week) plus daily commute between hotel and my client's office. My primary complaint is that the backpack is a bit large and when full has difficulty fitting into an overhead bin (also, it's too tall to be placed under the seat in front of me on board a plane) but when not stuffed full it generally does great. The two issues I've had with it since purchasing it about 6 months ago is that the SwissGear red logo fell off of the front of it so now it's just a silver plate instead of the red enamel and the straps get loose every two weeks or so. Beyond that the bag has been great to use, doesn't show/pick up dirt easily and best of all makes getting through airport security a BREEZE with the zipper laptop pocket - just remember to store your laptop in there alone! Highly recommend this for frequent travelers...just don't overfill it!"

"I think it's mostly great except that the decorative grey piece at the top of each strap tore within a few weeks of use. I know I did not use this for anything and just noticed it one day torn and hanging on by a few threads. Soon after that it was torn completely off on one end. I was pretty disappointed and do not know what I should conclude from a product that I otherwise really enjoy."

"The ScanSmart works very well. Just unzip it, lay it flat on the belt and off it goes. I would rate it higher if it had an outside open pocket to put a boarding pass or newspaper in. I wish it had just a little more space for my large charger and iPhone stuff. The bag holds a lot and fits easily under the airplane seat. My 15" notebook fits in easy and I think it could take most 17" ones too, but I don't have one to try. It's very comfortable to wear over the shoulders or just one shoulder."

"Great overall backpack, holds my laptop and tablet well as well as some books and notepads. And when I have to bring along a 2nd laptop for work it handles it w/ ease. I like this one much better than my last swissgear."
