Targus Compact Rolling Laptop Backpack - 16" 

"Overal good but barely fits my 15 inch Laptop"

"The backpack is great and very helpful. I purchased it because the briefcase I was carrying was causing issues with my neck and shoulders. The only issues I have with this item are 1) the straps are too long and cannot be shortened enough to be comfortable to carry on 1 shoulder 2) the laptop compartment is in the front (prefer it in the back) and it makes it difficult to get other folders in the bag easily. I really like the velcro in the back so you can stick the straps in when you are wheeling it. But, again, the straps are so long it doesnt always work. Regardless, I would buy this product again...but hope they have changed some of these issues before I purchase it next time."

"Although I haven't used the bag yet, it appears to be a good bag, lightweight, serviceable wheels, maximized packing space for it's size. The shoulder straps threaten to interfere with the wheels when rolling the bag, but if the straps are flipped forward to hug the bag, this problem is solved."

"I chose to purchase a Targus bag because I have used a briefcase style computer bag from Targus for 6 years and it has held up well and still looks great, however due to medical issues I needed to move to a rolling bag. This bag is fabulous! I do prefer a double post on the pull so I can stack other things on it, but everything about this bag appears to be sturdy and well made as I've come to expect from the Targus brand. This bag rolls very easily and there are "feet" to help prevent tip over. It holds all my small accessories, tablet, pc, cords etc. and there is still enough room to carry lunch and other things I need to bring to work with me which allows me to carry a much smaller purse. My thought when purchasing this is that when I travel this would be my carry on and it has plenty of room for everything I would need on the plane even on long flights! I am in love with this bag and have recommended it to friends already. Try it and you'll love it too!"

"I had an rolling backpack that I bought at Target for $3 on clearance 4 years ago and it just finally fell apart. I travel around the world and I wanted something light that I could put my computer and other things in. This backpack is light and has a lot of room so does the job for me. I just took it on a business trip to Greece, Israel and Turkey. I rolled it in airports, cobbled stone streets, up and down hills, on uneven sidewalks, on asphalt streets, etc. The only problem with it is that there is no guard on the back between the wheels so already the fabric is wearing. You have to be careful pulling it up stairs and over curbs because of the fact there is no plastic guard on the back of it. I have a feeling that this backpack will not last as long as my $3 one from Target. Also, after one trip, the wheels are rather worn. My friend in Turkey liked it so much that he wanted me to leave it with him. I think I will have to buy him one but I did show him the issue about the guard on the back. He said I had a point..."

"Purchased this back to carry my laptop and other items for business travel. Great to roll through the airport to save my back/shoulder but then pick up over one shoulder for hands free. Lightweight was good. Easy to get laptop in/out. Only complaint is I could have used another storage area for cords. I had to put in another small bag to hold those so they weren't rolling around loose."

"I looked a while for a rolling bag because I was suffering neck pain carrying a heavy shoulder bag. With this backpack my neck pain is virtually gone and when I do have go carry it up stairs, it is very lightweight. I would love an outside front zipper pocket! I miss that a lot. I love the water bottle holder and the side zip mesh pocket. The inside pockets, when full, prevent me from getting to the bottom of either section. Also if my laptop is in the roomy padded computer pocket, I have to unzip the entire "U" of the back pocket to get to anything behind it. The top front shallow pocket is perfect for a phone, iPhone or other music player and makes the phone easy to get to, but it is very shallow. Overall this is a great bag for the money and it holds a lot and has saved the wear and tear on my neck!"

"I bought this item as I wanted a good, sturdy, yet reasonably priced rolling laptop backpack for an upcoming trip. The Targus did not disappoint. Indeed, the only reason I did not give it a higher rating is that the straps dragged when you wheeled it -- and often got stuck in the wheels. Not a big deal (I wound up tying the straps together). But still, slightly annoying. Also, I wished the backpack had a sternum strap or strap that went around your front. That said, I was amazed by how much I could fit into the Targus (not only my 16" laptop but my camera bag + books + a sweatshirt) and felt it performed very well. Definitely recommend to students and anyone who has to tote a laptop and other stuff around."
