"This is a very comfortable backpack. There is lots of padding in the straps and back. I also like that it is shorter than other bags, since I am petite. I was looking for a smaller backpack, and this is deeper than the deminisions given in the ebags.com description, but with the shorter height it's not bulky unless completely loaded - which there is plenty of room and organization for everything - including the ebags slim lunch bag."

"The front zippered section needs more and better organized pockets."

"The bag is the best I found in internet search to meet all my needs for compartments, size, organization, color, and utility. There is one bad negative and that is the durability. The shoulder straps have a seam up the middle of the strap toward the top where the straps attach to the bag -- after about 5 months use, the seams down both straps are starting to come apart. I'm concerned that when they fully come apart it may affect the utility of the bag in addition to its appearance. Though I fully pack the bag to the maximum with books, papers, and other travel items, the overall material (nylon?) and construction of the bag made me assume that the bag could hold up to the load. It appears the thread in the seams is not nylon - perhaps cotton. The other minor irritant is that the design and shape of the zipper pulls causes me to consciously realign the pulls in order to make the zippers work."

"I loved this backpack when I bought it about a year ago. The checkpoint-friendly feature saves a lot of time and hassle. However, after about 6 months of use, the shoulder straps started ripping as others have said. I give it a month or two before it becomes unusable. Also, the main compartment isn't really big enough for folders and spiral notebooks - everything gets squished. On the plus side, the bag fits nicely under the airplane seat and is comfortable to carry even when heavily loaded."

"I'm short and travel on the subway. The bag sits comfortably on my back with a laptop and accessories inside."

"This back pack is very easy to use on a daily basis. The compartments are not as user-friendly as my last back-pack but I have adjusted. It works well going through airport security when I do not have to take out my computer. The downside is that you can't pack in that section easily."

"I wasn't able to rate this item on durability, because I haven't owned it six months yet. AND IT DIDN'T LAST SIX MONTHS!! IT DIDN'T EVEN LAST THROUGH THREE TRIPS!! At the beginning of the first trip, the seam of one of the shoulder straps started coming apart, as others have reported. At the end of the third trip, the plastic buckle of the shoulder strap totally broke, rendering the backpack totally useless. I love the design of this backpack. I just wish it had been made durable enough to not fall apart. This was a total waste of $63. It's too late for me to return it."

"I bought this in late 2011 specifically for air travel, which I do about 4 times a year. I don't use it for anything else. For that purpose, it's fantastic and has held up just fine with a light laptop, cord, and around 2 changes of clothes. I carry my bathroom sundries and such in my purse for easy airport security access, and the backpack always goes under the seat in front of me. The pockets are well-placed, though the front pocket is a bit small for my purposes and tends to get tight when I have the middle section stuffed with clothes. Of course, the most important feature of this and similar backpacks is the zip-around checkpoint-friendly design. There's no point in using it unless you're specifically going through airport security. The airport workers are always impressed and happy to see this when I unzip it--no joke. It definitely saves me time and removes the frustration factor in stuffing a laptop sleeve back in its place among clothes and cords. Surprising that more people don't use checkpoint-friendly luggage, even if only traveling 4 times a year."

"Have used once so far. It was a breeze getting through airport security without having to remove computer from backpack. Only small problem with backpack is that at the top of the straps to carry the backpack, two of the seams separated. It doesn't seem to make a difference to the functionality of the bag, so not planning to return it. (I know this is very simple with e-bags.) It may have to do with all the IT packed in the backpack for the trip. Laptop, I-Pad, Kindle, Kindle fire, all the chargers for these items as well as cell phones. Still had room for item that needed to be reviewed for work. I would recommend this item."

"Between 50 to 70 days after purchase the shoulder straps on this bag began to fall apart. The seams are not holding and the bag looks like it is several years old instead of newly purchases. Because the return period is 60 days - neither TARGUS nor E-Bags will do anything about the issue. I had read bad reviews before regarding both e-bags and TARGUS but had discounted them because I had purchased from E-Bays several times before without issues. After this incident, I will never purchase again from E-BAGS or a TARGUS product. Also - I fully expect that E-Bays will not publish this review as it maynot meet their "guidelines"."
