"I am using this as a case for a telescope. It's really too long and a bit too wide/deep, but itll work. The next size down would have been a tight fit, and probably would not have worked. I'll likely be adding some interior foam to cradle the telescope. This case IS well padded, something that can't be determined from the eBags description. The Tenba website has more complete specs."
