"This bag can hold quite a bit of stuff and not feel heavy. It's PERFECT in almost every way - I wouldn't have minded another line of latch-ons down the middle of the pack, but oh well. This bag has seen quite a few miles and has held up great! I can hold a 17" laptop, iPad, innopad, sweatshirt, 2 2-litre bottles of soda, iPod, Bose QC15 headphones and a packable duffel and STILL have room for more stuff. I swear, it's a neverending bag. Even better, I don't feel like it's heavy when loaded down. It has GREAT weight displacement and it doesn't hurt your spine. Excellent bag!"

"The bag is pricey, no question, but as has been my experience with The North Face in the past, price is usually very indicative of quality. They aren't a discount brand, and don't try to be. They make the best product they can and add their profit to it and sell it. This bag is no exception - a lot of thought went into the design, a lot of money into the materials and a lot of care into the construction. I'm a medical student (2nd year), so I've been in university for 6 years now. My previous backpack (Oakley; no idea what model) lasted me from the 10th grade until a couple weeks ago, so I would have been happy to stay with the brand, but was drawn to this pack by the size and organization. I do clerkship rotations where I'm in the hospital for many many hours (usually 24), so it was crucial that I have a bag that can keep me organized and hold the textbooks, macbook, iPad, journals, clothes, shoes, food, chargers, coffee mug, pencil case; the list goes on. This bag does that flawlessly and still feels light, somehow. I never liked carrying the messenger-style bags or duffel bags, so I anticipate using this bag for a very long time, and imagine, much like with my Oakley bag, that I will buy a new one not because this one broke or went out of style, but because my needs will have changed or future R&D will result in the production of even better bags. 5/5 from me. Way to go, North Face."

"This bag is just perfect. I just got it 1 week ago, and it seem very durable and the construction is excellent. The router is kind of big and I am 5ft 2 inches tall and weigh 120 lbs so I thought it would probably be too big for me, but the straps adjust perfectly and it fits right into the contours of my back so the fit is flawless. It was $99 which was kind of expensive, but I think it is worth the price. This is my first North Face backpack and I am very excited to own one. Hopefully it lasts beyond my graduation in 2015."

"I purchased this back pack for my 17 year old son, because he needed an extra large backpack to caryy all his books. He loves the backpack, and uses it everyday for school. He told me that with all the books he needs to carry to each class, all the books fit easily into the backpack and he carries most his books in his backpack, and does not have to go to his locker anymore. The backpack still feels comfortable on his back and is easy to carry from clas to class. He says, it feels light on his back and there are extra pads, so the bag does not hurt him or weigh him down. Even though this is a very expensive backpack, he loves it and it ended up working out for him. I intend to buy this back back for my older son, who is in college. Thank you."

"I bought this backpack for my son, and he loves it. He is happy that he can put all of his books and notebooks into the pack and it still has room for additional items.. The pocket in the front holds all of his supplies. My son says that the shoulder straps are the best. He has had several backpacks, and this is the only one that distributed the weight evenly across his back without digging into his shoulders. We have only owned the pack for about a week, so we will see how it holds up. The backpack appears to be made of sturdy high quality materials, so I expect that it will last him through high school."

"So far, GREAT! We were seeking a backpack for our 11-year-old, sixth grade son for daily use. Not your typical sixth grade -- he attends a local charter school that is academically focused. Eight different classes/teachers, 10 notebooks, supplies and lots of books (hard cover math book weighs 3.5 lbs by itself) that he has to carry everyday, all day + to and from school. Backpack, fully loaded on a daily basis is 28lbs. Really. We searched and searched for a backpack with 2500 cu. in of total storage and ultimately decided on the NF Router. Definitely pricey, but so far, 6 months in, has worked well and proven extremely durable. Despite the daily wear (school, carpools, soccer practice et al) still looks brand new and no issues at all with the pocket system and or zippers. Great quality and our son loves it. Sorry for the novella, but this has been a great purchase so far and we are happy to recommend it!"

"I was looking for a bag that would function as my daily commuter bag and my vacation backpack. The Router was the best option for me as it can expand to a 41L in volume while the buckle allows it minimize the bulk to a reasonable size for my daily work travel."
