"I have degenerative disk disease and have 4 herniated disks in my upper back and 3 herniated disks in my lower back. When I decided to go back to school I was given a Jansport backpack from a family member. I had just ordered my Surge 2 only 2 days prior and decided I'd just return the Surge 2 when I got it since I was being given this one. I loaded the Jansport bag up with my 4" thick biology book and the single pocket on the bag, I filled up with my supplies - all dumped in a pile. The bag was nearly impossible for me to lift, let alone carry on my back. I received my Surge 2 (women's) a few days later and put the same items in (plus some) and it was AMAZING to feel the difference. The bag supports the contents and really does help with the load on your back. As I said, it was my intention to return this backpack since I was given one to use. After trying it out, there was no way I'd return it...EVER. Oh, and the storage compartments are wonderful too. There's a place for everything and no need to dump your stuff in a pile to sort through later. I LOVE THIS BAG!!"

"Excellent backpack for college to carry books, laptop, etc. I'm a dad who spent a lot of effort helping my daughter find the perfect backpack to start college. I wanted something reasonable size, dedicated padded laptop case (I had to replace her brothers laptop the first year of his college after it was dropped in backpack and broke), and good size-- large enough to carry what is needed at college but not too big to burden her and look ridiculous. We looked at many bags in person and online. This one is the winner. Very well designed and constructed. Lots of nice details. Top quality. Good laptop protection. And... it looks great and fits my daughter perfectly (probably all she cared about!). Little pricey but you get a top quality bag that should last, carry heavy books comfortably across campus and protect that expensive laptop. Highly recommended!"

"I bought this item for travel purposes specifically. It makes a great carry-on for flights and organization is at a premium. I will travel to Europe with it and use it as a day pack while there. A very high quality item."

"Just what I was looking for. I needed something to take to the gym that would keep workout clothes, toiletries, etc organized, and would fit into a locker. This fits the bill. I'm very happy with this purchase."
