"I did a lot of research looking for an ideal bag, and was hoping this would be the one. I was looking for a smaller laptop/travel pack (I am 5ft 2in), that had a pocket for stowing power cords & cables, and pockets for keeping ipods, phones, glasses, etc organized, protected & evenly distributed/weighted. This bag certainly has lots of vertically aligned pockets, which help achieve a nice weight distribution--but there are just too many of them, in my opinion. The laptop access zipper is also a bit narrow--making it a bit awkward pulling a 15 laptop out. The power cord pocket at the bottom is narrow, as well--access is not easy, but I love the idea. I also disliked the number of deep main pockets--too many zippers. All in all, I think the intentions were good, but there are just too many features crammed in to this smaller pack. A simplified (and less expensive) version would be perfect!"

"Love my new backpack! Lots of packets for organization, spacious seperate packet for my laptop, and plenty of room for binders and notebooks. I use it every day for college and would buy it again!"

"Overall a great bag! The front pouch could have been better designed. If you forget to snap the front pouch it's easy for the two zippers to slide down. Not a huge problem, but it can be a mild annoyance. It has plenty of organizing pouches, and the laptop pouch is nicely padded. It's also very comfortably molded for a womans' body. I've literally used this bag all day long, five days a week for an entire term, and it has held up great! Love it!"

"The North Face Surge bag was on my Christmas list and I love it. The women's version fits me perfectly and has plenty of storage with a well padded computer compartment as well. It looks and feels great. I intend to keep this bag for years to come."
