"My friends tease me for buying such a "hardcore" backpack! I'm in grad school through an online program but I do a lot of my homework while I'm at work. So I needed something very durable and capable of carrying multiple books, my planner, laptop, notebooks, lunch and the occasional change of clothes (I also teach yoga). After doing LOTS of research, I settled on the Women's Surge. This bag has certainly lived up to my expectations. I got the grey one b/c it was the only option left when the bag went on sale (which was nice, b/c it's pretty picey). It's very comfortable, the padded straps and back support make carrying it during a long-ish walk a breeze. And I don't feel like I want to topple over when it's jam packed (which is frequently). There are lots of straps and toggles, but you can tuck those out of the way. I love all of the pockets and zippered areas for storage. My 13" Dell, in its sleeve, fits comfortably in the laptop area. But I do wish the water bottle pockets on the side were a little bigger...they're a little too narrow (I've had to find just the right size bottle for it). The only other downside is that it doesn't stay upright when you put it on the floor. You have to sit it at an angle, otherwise it will fall over. But these are things I've learned to work around. Overall, I'm very happy w/ my purchase. Even with daily use and frequently being "full to capacity" this backpack has not shown any signs of wear & tear around the seams (unlike my last backpack that was bursting after 2 months of use). We'll see how it holds up for the duration of my program. Hopefully it will be the last backpack that I need to purchase."
