"I was looking for a bag that could double as a tote and purse, without being bulky. The main purpose of this bag is to hold 8 1/2 x 11 paper vertical and still be able to close. This is the perfect solution. It stays close to your body so it doesn't look like you're carrying papers. I have a small frame and the proportion fits. It's easier to balance, since your hands are free, compared to a hand tote and not a large as a messenger bag. I slipped a thin wallet inside and it still lightweight. I was also impressed with the soft but durable leather. It was just perfect so I ordered it in two other colors. If they continue to make this style I'll continue to buy them."

"this was such a smart purchase. i bought it on sale and boy, did i get my money's worth! the outside pocket makes it easy to stash a pen, a small notebook, passport and tickets without my having to root through the body of the bag. i can also fit my kindle or a paperback in he main purse with my wallet and other necessary bits and pieces, including a change of underwear for those odd emergencies when i arrive ahead of my luggage or it goes astray for a day!"

"Beautiful and durable and love the cross body strap, however because it is more deep than wide, I found I would have to unload items to get to things in the bottom of the bag. I did find that my ipad fits in it perfectly, so I have bought a wider pocket book and now carry my ipad in The Sak with room to spare. I do like the clean, unfussy look of this pocketbook."

"I liked the looks and design of this purse very much and carried it nearly every day for about three months. Then I began to notice that on the four sharp corners of the base of the bag, the brown outer covering was wearing through and leaving a lighter inner layer exposed, almost as if it were made of cheap vinyl and not leather as I had been led to believe! This gives the bag a rather ratty look and I'm not as proud of it as I was. It was a beautiful bag but if it was well made it should have stayed nice for longer than just three months."
