"Overall I really like this bag. It is my first messenger bag and so far I don't have any major complaints. Storage in the main compartment and the laptop area is really good and has no trouble fitting my 13" MacBook Pro. I wasn't too happy with the narrowness of the pockets in the very front of the bag, as it doesn't seem like very many devices can fit in those openings. The zippered compartment behind these pockets is perfect for a 7" tablet (like the Nexus 7), but if you have an iPad you are probably out of luck. So far the bag is wearing well and what many people said about the front clasps is true. It is a bit tricky to lock the flap with one hand or without really looking, but it works. If they used regular snaps like other bags it would be easier, but I do like the all metal approach to these hooks and the adjustment on the shoulder strap. All in all, an excellent bag with a few small flaws you could probably live with."

"Great bag! The only downsides are the clasps and the hand handle. The clasps work fine, but you need 2 hands to clasp them. It's not hard, but it's not as easy as snapping them. The handle has worked fine, but it feels a little small and weak. I'm afraid someday it will break, but has been fine. The material has held up great."

"I have been looking for a reasonably capacious bag that is also very light. This satisfied on both counts."

"This bag is unlike the others in that it is stiff and keeps its dimensions and can capably protect sensitive electronics without calapsing. It is quite sturdy, heavy guage, and durable. The fabric is very resistant to snags. The buckles and zippers are super heavy duty and oversized. The design is simple, smart, and well-thought out. I feel confident I will be able to give this to my two year old son as a gift when he heads off to college. Well made - not Chinese crap."

"I bought this for my college age son who is a computer science major. He loved the separate access to his computer and it was big enough to accomodate his laptop (that I think is too big). He is finding the bag very useful this semester."

"This bag runs a little more than others, but it is worth the price, I had a tumbucktu one, but this one far more sturdy and much better organized- I am very pleaseed with it as it should last a long time"

"The Thule 12-Liter Messenger bag is a solid bag for school. It snugly fits my 15.7" laptop but I'll be using it more for my Ipad. Its not an all fitting backpack, but it easily will hold a few textbooks, notebooks and binders. So if you want a bag that is going to go with you all day carrying everything, get a bigger bag. It looks very sleek. It took me a bit to get used to the clips, but they aren't too bad. Shoulder strap is adjustable, and seems cushioned enough. If I have a lot of books with me, I'd end up using the hand holder though. I haven't had it for a long time so I cannot comment on the durability of the bag, but I cannot imagine it'd be cheaply made, as the other Thule bags I've owned have longevity. Overall, a great bag. I definitively recommend this."

"Works great with the Thule carry on with wheels. Flap clasps are a bit cumbersome to work one handed but overall a great bag."

"I love it - the only way to make it better is to have a small pouch on the outside!"

"Overall i like it, wish the handle was padded as I usually carry it without the shoulder strap."
