"I love this bag! I looked at many (in fact, ordered 4 from eBags to evaluate, this is the one I kept.) I travel often for business, and the first and last legs of my trips are often on regional jets -- I wanted a bag that would fit in the regional jet overheads so I don't have to gate check the bag (my older MountainSmith Excursion finally wore out -- it fit, but that model is no longer made). I also did not want an expandable bag -- that's just a nuisance to me. This Thule bag is great -- not only does it fit in the regional overheads, but it is nice looking and seems durable (time will tell). Although I won't often use the backpack feature, it is thoughtfully designed so the wheels are away from your back -- it would be great when sloshing through snowy streets or muddy, broken sidewalks. I'm a pretty efficient packer. Packing in this Thule bag, I found I can put shoes in the top compartment and other items in the bottom part (small items nestled between the telescoping handle tubes to make a relatively flat surface, clothing folded in an interleaved fashion on top of that). The wheels are designed so that dirt/grid won't get wedged in there. There is a small strip (which can be hidden away when not in use) to attach anoter bag. The little hardsided pocket on the side is a great idea, although I removed it so that it doesn't take up valuable packing space inside the suitcase. The only complaint I have is the buttons to push to make the handle telescope up are a little hard to get to when the handle is down. But this is a very tiny issue on this great bag! While the price is a little higher than others I looked at, it's a great quality bag -- I think it's a good value. I love it so much, I'm thinking of getting a second -- for my husband to use, but also to have as an extra if mine ever wears out."
