"Bought the 22" Copilot, then agonized over whether I should have bought the 20" version instead. Have used this bag for both air travel and car travel now, and like it very much. Like: Much lighter than my previous (very old) carry on. Grab handles on every side make overhead stowing and retrieval a breeze (I'm a wuss and had no trouble holding the packed bag over my head). Wheels are quiet and wide enough it doesn't tip much. TONS of room inside (even packed my pillow in there once). Weird neoprene zippers ROCK, I was not sure what to expect but they are stretchy and practical and go easily around anything. Dislike: Yes it is 22 x 14 x 9 but each of those dimensions is a good half to three-quarters of an inch bigger than stated. Fit easily into Southwest overheads but they state 24 x 16 x 10 is acceptable. Have not tried on another airline yet. Front zipper pocket is just a smidge too small for my 14.1" laptop. Overall: Based on my experience with this bag, I'd cheerfully take the 20" Copilot (slightly smaller) instead and know it had plenty of room, as well as being more likely to fit in overhead bins. I don't fly as often as we drive, but it definitely stresses me out to know I may have to check this bag because it's an inch too big. Other than it being just a tad too big for some planes, I absolutely love it."

"I have not used this bag yet but after inspection it appears to be the best made bag I've ever seen.zippers good ,pockets all make sense .love the handles on all sides.Frist time with clamshell style but I see the advantages of this Style.I will use this when traveling to Germany. Will work on regional jets and Germany's Deutchbann.I can easily use this for 8-9 day international trips. The only other piece I will take is the Timbuk2 Sm. messenger bag which I can slide under the seat.I would recommend this for anyone, men or women who don't want to check a bag and still have adequate room for a week....pack what need and no more...if you think you need it don't take it"

"I have always been a fan of Timbuk2 bags, and after review the product online I felt confident ordering this piece of luggage. Now that I have used the item I think I made a great choice, and would recommend this item to friends coworkers. Well made, looks professional, and easy to manuver/carry. The shoe compartment is great for business travel, and also doubles as an easy storage area for a dab kit."

"I've used it just once and I very much liked it. -it is attractive and its unique appearance makes it easy to spot -The handle is comfortable and it is easy to pull -The clamshell design is convenient -I really liked the shoe compartment and the outer zippered areas -I appreciate the handles around the bag which make it easy to pick up from any side -The interior netting on both sides of the compartments is helpful for keeping everything contained. -I was able to comfortably pack for a three night business trip -It is very light and easy to move and lift"

"I love the compartments. The hidden luggage tag s awesome. I was able to pack a lot into the bag. Maneuvering through the airport with my service dog, a cup of coffee, and this bag was pretty easy. It slides in the upright position pretty easily even though it only has two wheels. In the parking lot maneuvering sidewalks and curbs, it was stable, even when moving briskly."

"Bought this bag for an overseas trip with the intention of using/ taking only one bag to carry on. I was amazed how much I was able to fit in the Copilot. We were gone for 3+ weeks and everything I needed fit in this bag. Its incredibly lightweight, rolls easy and fits in the overheads without a hitch. I loved the small zippered compartment on the bottom of the suitcase. It allowed me to stash a pair of shoes and get to them easily without unpacking. During our many airport check-ins this compartment fit my entire toiletry bag, allowed me to pull it out for screening and repack it again without having to open my bag. I'm considering buying another Timbuk2 in a larget size for longer trips."

"Super bag. Rolls smooth. The clam shell design makes it easy to organize your stuff. Each half has a zip-able mesh that you can see though. The retractable handle is the best quality I have ever seen or used on any rolling luggage. The price is not cheap but its not crazy either. I will definitely shop Timbuk2 again."

"It is the right size for a roll on. The wheels are smooth and the balance is good. It has well defined internal compartments, although those are less important to me than they might be to others. It has a handle on every side and they are sewn in in such a way they are unlikely to ever break. Mostly, the fit and finish is excellent. It is well designed and feels solid. I won't use it often, but when I do, it just needs to WORK. I have had excellent luck with my other Timbuk2 bags and I think this one will be more of the same. A great purchase."

"Great looking bag and very functional. Like the clamshell design and the zippered mesh compartment covers. The separate shoe pocket is great. The bag wants to tip over when my Command messenger slides over the handle and sits on top of the Copilot. Could also use tie-down straps in the main compartments to kepp items from sliding. Overall happy with the purchase."

"Timbuk2 bags are always a good bet, durable and good warranties. This works/fits great for overhead compartment travel, and the separate shoe pocket is a great feature. Once open the two halves seemed a bit shallow, but was able to pack more than i expected for the return trip home, it expands and compresses a bit depending how much your're packing. I went with the blue/gray color combo with a little hesitation (because the black version looked like every other overheard bag out there) but the blue/gray really grew on my by the end of the trip. Would have liked to see more color combinations in the classic Timbuk2 variety of color options tradition."
