"I am a student, Manager and consultant. I needed a bag that could hold my computer, e-book, school books, consultant materials and my lunch, etc. This bag is great! I love the handy zip-closure-side-entries for grabbing my wallet, book or computer. My complaints do not diminish my love for my tough, beautiful little companion, but it would be nice if the pockets didn't take up all the interior space when filled and if there were more exterior access pockets, it's a pain to open the main compartment when I need a pen, tissue or my glasses. Still I am very happy!"

"I've had this bag for about two weeks and really love it. Just big enough for my laptop, levenger, clutch, tablet, and a few odds and ends. But it's slim enough that it stays close to my back. The chest strap isn't in a good spot but they really never are on any backpack I try. The shoulder straps are nicely contoured but a bit too narrow near the top."

"I wanted to like this bag, but the colors just didn't work for me. The dark blue in the picture is more like an indigo in real life, which didn't go with my other two blue jackets. Also the front panel under the flap wasn't blue on my pack, it was black which added a third color block. I also couldn't understand why the swing-around laptop access is under the right arm... very convenient for lefties, but not for the rest of us. Overall it is really well constructed and nice looking, it just didn't fit my personal style. I think I will order it in black instead."

"This has become my go-to bag. Fits my tablet, lunch, water bottle, umbrella, and everything else I need for the day. And it seems both sturdy and stylish enough to remain my go-to for a long time to come."

"I was excited about the bag: style was a nice alternative to the usual backpack, it has solid reviews, and I like the fact that it is 20L (not too big). Looked like good stitching and quality materials. The Timbuk2 business story is swell as well and the map of SF on the packaging made me nostalgic. The plan was to use the Swig for work (research at a hospital) and travel. Alas, I took a gamble regarding the smaller utility pocket and lost. As others mentioned, it has a small zippered pocket but otherwise is not really protected from stuff falling out of the bag if it is horizontal, like when stowed under an airplane seat. Sure, chances might be small, but too much a risk for me. Also, the side zipper opening for this pocket cannot be used to access the interior zippered pocket (at least not easily) as the internal pocket is parallel to the top of the vertical zipper. Two other things that didn't match my needs/likes: the hanging straps and the bottle opener would have driven me crazy and the slightly rounded bottom would have necessitated a sleeve to keep papers from getting dogeared in the main compartment. And the velcro doesn't seem to serve any purpose since the buckles do the work (but now I am just getting picky). I returned the Swig and looked on toward the Timbuk2 Uptown as it seemed to have all the components I was looking for (although a bit big), but good golly, at $120 it is 3x the price of similarly featured bags by other manufacturers. Ah, well."

"Just what I was looking for! This backpack is the right size for me, & the chest strap can be adjusted up or down to make it comfortable for your body size. It has a well padded space for a computer and room for cables, mouse,a notebook or two, and a small purse. There is a separate space in the front with slots for pens, post its, etc. and a zippered pocket for passport or tickets. It has just one outside pocket for a water bottle. There is a side zipper that gives access to the computer compartment if you want to pull it out without opening up the flap and unpacking whatever got stuffed in with it. This could be handy at airport check ins. I am very happy that it is sleek, without a bulgy profile, yet it holds all of my computer stuff & purse. The "cover flap" would keep the pack's contents weather proof as well as pick-pocket proof. I was glad ebags had such a good price on this high quality backpack."

"Simply put, I love this bag. I was looking for a fun yet chic back pack to carry my computer and all my stuff to work. This fits the bill, and others must think so too as I've gotten loads of compliments."

"Love it - would prefer 1 more (zipped) outer pocket, but the interior organization is perfect."
