"I really can't say enough good things about this backpack. And I did a ton of research. It's sleek and professional enough to use at work or at gradschool and very durable. My favorite feature is that it is not too big and bulky so that you look like a turtle walking around, but the straps are adjustable if you need to pack something to the brim. It also has a padded bottom where the lap top sits so you don't have to worry about putting your bag on the ground. The only negative is that it needs more zippered organization in the front."

"I am a student, Manager and consultant. I needed a bag that could hold my computer, e-book, school books, consultant materials and my lunch, etc. This bag is great! I love the handy zip-closure-side-entries for grabbing my wallet, book or computer. My complaints do not diminish my love for my tough, beautiful little companion, but it would be nice if the pockets didn't take up all the interior space when filled and if there were more exterior access pockets, it's a pain to open the main compartment when I need a pen, tissue or my glasses. Still I am very happy!"

"I was excited about the bag: style was a nice alternative to the usual backpack, it has solid reviews, and I like the fact that it is 20L (not too big). Looked like good stitching and quality materials. The Timbuk2 business story is swell as well and the map of SF on the packaging made me nostalgic. The plan was to use the Swig for work (research at a hospital) and travel. Alas, I took a gamble regarding the smaller utility pocket and lost. As others mentioned, it has a small zippered pocket but otherwise is not really protected from stuff falling out of the bag if it is horizontal, like when stowed under an airplane seat. Sure, chances might be small, but too much a risk for me. Also, the side zipper opening for this pocket cannot be used to access the interior zippered pocket (at least not easily) as the internal pocket is parallel to the top of the vertical zipper. Two other things that didn't match my needs/likes: the hanging straps and the bottle opener would have driven me crazy and the slightly rounded bottom would have necessitated a sleeve to keep papers from getting dogeared in the main compartment. And the velcro doesn't seem to serve any purpose since the buckles do the work (but now I am just getting picky). I returned the Swig and looked on toward the Timbuk2 Uptown as it seemed to have all the components I was looking for (although a bit big), but good golly, at $120 it is 3x the price of similarly featured bags by other manufacturers. Ah, well."

"I purchased this bookbag because I thought that the exterior zipper access to the laptop pouch would be great for college. The appearance is true to pictures and the materials seem incredibly durable. It was a great deal and I think that it is an excellent laptop bag for college use."

"Great bag for everyday to and from work. Sleek so I don't feel like a student but hold my laptop and has good organization spaces with going overboard like some bags"

"When I first saw this bag on Timbuk2 I loved it! But the price was a big of over my budget, so I looked it up somewhere else to see if there is any better deal. Finally I found eBags was having 20 off deal on this particular bag so I just ordered it without hesitation."
