"I looked at many other brands of laptop backpacks before finding the Timbuk2 Uptown. And it¿s just what I was looking for. This is my first Timbuk2 bag. I needed a laptop backpack for everyday and travel use. I wanted a backpack so the weight would be distributed across both shoulders and free up both hands, especially while traveling through the airport. Being TSA compliant is a huge plus. My MacBook Pro fits perfectly and seems to be well suspended above the bottom of the bag. I love that the laptop section doesn¿t feel like it takes any space away from the rest of the backpack. I just wish the backpack had a pocket in the main compartment (similar to the iPad pocket in the laptop section) that could be used for loose papers. My first use of the bag was a 2-week trip in which the bag was packed full, weighing 20+lbs. and I saw no adverse affects on the bag. The bag endured being repeatedly stuffed under the airplane seat in front of me with barely a mark on it. It protected my laptop quite well through the whole process and was a breeze to go through airport security. I love the fact that the bag is so lightweight since I always over pack. The bag seems to be well constructed but I¿ve only had the bag for 2 ½ weeks. Time will be the true judge of durability. All in all, this backpack is just what I was looking for and has ended months of searching. I¿m so glad I found it!!!"

"I have several Timbuk2 bags, but have been looking for one that was designed to carry my laptop/ipad/kindle and assorted accessories and "stuff". I've found it. This bag is roomy, light, and designed to hold all your devices. But it also has great protection features and the TSA compliant laptop compartment is just icing on the cake. Timbuk2 does it again!"
