Travelon Stow-Away Backpack/Tote Duo 

"Nice looking bag for the price. Great color. Lots of storage. This will be used inside my carry-on for my cruise. Will also be used for day trips. Its light, folds away to nothing, and just the right size for water bottles, camera, light jacket, etc."

"I've had this bag for almost a year now and have used it several times for travel to other states. Usually this is the bag I carry on the plane and stash away under the seat in front of me, it fits perfectly. I can fit a lot of stuff in it, typically I put my small purse, water bottle, ball of yarn/crochet needle, magazine, book, ipad, and small bag of toiletries. I've even fit my puffy coat in it once and it fit fine. The bag material is very thin and collapses quite easily but has been quite durable. The pockets on the bag are very deep. The side pockets are useful, this is where I always put my water bottle and it fits perfectly as well as other stuff (these pockets are made of a nice stretchy material-very nice feature). The handles are sturdy and pretty comfortable. The zippers are all durable and the draw string feature at the top zipper is a little extra security. The back pack straps on the back are the only part of the bag that I do not really like. Since I use it mostly as a back pack the handles seem a little flimsy without much cushioning and the plastic clips where the straps shorten or lengthen don't really hold the straps in place when your bag is full of stuff (doesn't take much weight to make the straps slide) but I just tied a knot where the plastic clips are and no more sliding. However it is nice having a tote/backpack combo. Overall the bag has worked great for me."

"I like the idea of packing a day pack for when a purse just isn't enough. I love the brown checked pattern of the fabric. I will be careful not to overload it with excess weight as my last eagle creek day pack seam ripped with very little weight packed. This one is a little roomier and has nice shoulder straps."

"I bought this for my 89 year old mother and she loves it! She wanted something like this mainly as a seat bag for airline flights as it is extremely light weight and she can carry it on her back if she needs to, keeping her hands free to pull her roller bag. She now uses it for day trips as well. The bag seems well made, it can be carried as a tote or a back pack. It is very flexible in accepting contents and folds up to almost nothing if you would want to bring it as an extra bag on your travels."

"I bought this as a tote for travel. I do not like to be weighted down. Like to use a hip pack instead of a purse if I am touring, so I have no extra room to put beverages or purchases. This is truly lightweight. Can be used as a tote or backpack. Followed another customer's advice and used it in my carry-on to store what I wanted easy access to during a long flight. I used it everyday during a 9 day trip to Europe, and it was very handy. The next time I used it, the zipper totally zipped off of the bag. It was 62 days since my purchase, so eBags would not honor the warranty. I had to ship it back to the manufacturer at my expense. They did replace it, and the new tote looks like it has better reinforcement. I have not yet used it, so I cannot be sure. It was inconvenient to be out of town and not be able to secure my items by zipping the bag closed. It is a very versatile bag, so I plan on using it and hope there will not be anymore problems."

"Overall use of this bag was easy in terms of packing it. The bag was packed full so it was heavy but the weight came from the items packed. The bag empty weighs very little. Used the bag (fully loaded) recently on a 10 hour flight and 15 day cruise. I would suggest to Travelon to improve the backpack straps to a material with more substance so that it doesn't crumple. The fabric for the bag could also be improved with a stronger but still lightweight fabric. It fit under the seat on the flight perfectly. I'll buy another when this one falls apart."
