"A very nice looking and well built Back Pack - The Tumi name stands for quality, class and value and I can see why with this my first Tumi purchase. I bought it to replace a series of $80.00 ballistic nylon packs that lasted a year to 18 months before ripping/zippers breaking that I usually would get from Office Depot or similar. 6 months in and so far so good. It seems to have lost a little of its rigidity it had when brand new and thus does not hold its shape as well unless its completely full, but that's no deal breaker. A good looking bag - I've gotten several complements on it. The bag transitions well into the board room and does not seem to want to get dirty at all. I'm a weekly road warrior and provided it stands as well as it has the first 6 months I'll be a very happy camper."

"This is the most uncomfortable bag I have ever tried to carry. I sent it back after two days. The specs say the bag is 7 1/2" deep -- front to back. When it arrived I could see immediately it was not 7". In fact it is 10" inches. the width is 11"; and therefore it is in girth virtually a square. I do not like bags more than about 7" deep, because the carrying load is no longer a vertical. When the carrying load is too far out from my back, the same weight becomes much heavier, wanting to pull me backward. In others words it is a bad design, unless you carry it like a suitcase. But not as a back pack."

"Brief pack can hold a great deal of materials. I only wish there were some more dividers in the primary pouch. It is large and can get a bit disorganized. I've started using the airline First Class amenity bags I get on overseas flights to organize the items I put in the main pouch."

"I wanted a backpack that didn't look like the one I used in college, floppy and big. With this, when I go into a customers site I can carry it by the top handle and it looks like a "case" of sorts. I love that it attaches to my carry on handle. The front pockets are a little small (especially the very front one, I wish that zipper was a little wider, as it's hard to get my hand in there). The main pouch is huge, and I love that I can put an extra pair of shoes in there with all my papers. I do wish there was another strap in that large pocket for when I just have my portfio. I keep both my x1 carbon ultra book and iPad in the back section with no problem. This bag holds it's shape very well and stands on it's own. The price was much more reasonable then the other Tumi's and the quality is good. I decided on this model because the side pockets weren't so big. It fits under the airline seats perfectly without cramming and tugging. I will say the straps are difficult to adjust - they use a metal ring system that holds tight. You have to feed the strap back into it to release it. Again, it makes it look more professional, but it's still a pain. I might trade my Swiss army carry on for a tumi next time!!!"

"If you are looking for a Tumi bag that comes as/with a fashion statement, this one is not it, so my advice is to keep looking. It is as "boxy" and bulky as it appears in the pictures. However, if you are looking for a large backpack with lots of room for multiple pieces of technology (I frequently travel with 2-3 laptops and a couple of tablets, this is the best backpack I found. The laptop compartment is very padded, and the inside compartment is roomy without unecessary / useless little pockets. Access to the large central compartment is easy thanks to the large flap that opens wide with a single ziper that goes all the way, not just through the middle."
