"I have a few other "carry-on" size bags and was fed up the last few trips since the commuter planes I'd end up on had such small overheads that none of them would fit and I'd have to "pink ticket" the bag which defeated the purpose of packing items I didn't want out of my control into a carry-on. This bag was perfect for my laptop in a padded sleeve, the various power cords I'd need for the week, my travel umbrella, bottled water, etc. I even had enough room to pack one outfit and something to sleep in (in case the airlines lost my luggage). Since I also bought a clip on travel pouch to hold my ziplocked toiletries (clips to outside of bag), I had everything I needed for at least the first day. This bag is very smooth while rolling and didn't get 'stuck' or work awkwardly like some bags I've had. It's very stable and fit cleanly beneath the seat on the small plane and easily into the overhead on the slightly larger plane after my connection. The only thing I could wish to add would be an outside pocket on the back/handle side with a elastic top similar to the side pockets so I could have somewhere to drop my boarding pass and pocket PC that didn't involve unzipping."
