"I love this bag. I've been wanting a lightweight weekend bag for a year, but couldn't find anything that fit my needs. When I saw the Atlas Duffel, it looked like it was what I was looking for, so I bought it.
I've used for one trip so far (just got it a week ago), and I've very pleased. The bag is very light, but appears to be sturdy. I love the pockets, particularly the outside ones. They're designed for water bottles, according to the information, but they're great for putting the things you need to grab quickly. I think they'll be perfect for boarding passes when I fly.
The padded tablet area was great for my iPad and a notebook, and I love the other interior pockets (pen, credit card, etc). The exterior cell phone pocket is perfectly placed (now I know exactly where my phone is!). There are enough zippered pockets to organize all the little things I need when I travel.
I got the bag in mushroom/caspian blue, and the combination is really pretty. The mushroom color is a pretty neutral, and the blue is lovely.
The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the shoulder strap. It's a little narrow. For this trip I carried shoes and several books, though, so the bag was heavy. I think the strap will work better when I don't have the bag so heavily loaded.
All in all, I'm very happy with the bag and would definitely buy it again."
"I searched quite a while for a bag like this. I usually travel with a rolling computer case and a very large tote. The totes I have found usually are way too big(weekender types) or to small to fit what I need to carry with me. And not enough convenient outer pockets... Or just too expensive.
-Absolutely love the outer side pockets for bottled water -- No more water bottles inside the bag to "sweat" all over everything.
-Love the padded inner pocket for a tablet.
-Love the smaller outer pocket. Perfect for your phone, ID, some money, etc. so you don't have to open the main bag in a crowed line.
-The bottom is wide so if you have to set the bag on the ground, it won't fall over.
-It fits under the seat on a plane.
-So far, it's held up to the weight from everything I put in it. In the past, I've have trouble with straps fraying.
-I like the brighter color on the inside - makes it easier to find things.
-Really like the back sleeve to slip over the roller case.
-Easy to wipe down.
-For travelling in lots of airports - I like everything being zippered.
-Lots of inner space - I can't stand bags that have the sleeve pocket in the center dividing everything.
And another thing that I had to consider...
Sometimes there is not enough overhead space for my computer bag - I guess since no one bothers to check luggage anymore... Well, one time I stupidly turned over my computer bag with my two laptops to be checked. They landed up in Brazil - I was going to San Fran - it was a nonstop flight! So the next time this happened, I took everything out of my rolling computer bag that I needed for my job and somehow stuffed it in my tote/purse. It was overstuffed to say the least. I did a test run and this bag, if neccessary, will handle my two laptops and such.
That's all I can think of right now.
Bottom line... if you fly a lot, check out this bag."
