"I bought the item in late Nov 2015 and the top fabric handle stitches came off completely in early January 2016. It was barely a month, and I had only used it 4-5 times. I only had a Macbook Pro 15" laptop in the backpack, so the bag was definitely not overstuffed. I am a petite female, so I don't think I had the strength to rip it out either. It just came off suddenly when I tried to pick up my bag from the floor. It was such a hassle too because I was at the airport. Anyway, I contacted eBags right away and they shipped a replacement, which I received 2 days later. I assume it's just an aberration because everyone had such good review about it. The durability of the new item remains to be seen... I do appreciate the warranty thing, which showed that they took pride in their products. Will consider buying ebags products again despite this experience."

"This bag was selected as the best medium size laptop bag from six on eBags. They included eTech Downloader, Osprey Eclipse, Osprey Comet, eBags TLS WorkStation, TLS Professional Slim and a discontinued but excellent eBag. All were ordered, inspected, and packed with the same loads which comprised of the two usual packing lists; one for short air trip of less than one week and one as a support bag for travel when using a carry on wheeled suit case as well (Motherlode 21). Averaging over 50 flights a year, I have plenty of experience packing and have evolved a very quick and efficient method. This requires the use of the Eagle Creek 18" packing folder whether traveling with the backpack or with backpack and carry on wheelie. Unfortunately the eBags staff can not tell you what bags fit that folder. All of these do with varying success. The Osprey bags are made of light material which is a limited advantage as they do not hold their shape when packed, are unpadded and the contents shift and drop to the bottom. The larger was too big and droopy. They also have less interior organization. The eBag Professional Work Station has novel design ideas but is bulky and stays that way when the load is smaller. This bag, the Downloader, is superb. The materials are first rate and rugged but the bag looks classy. It holds its shape when loaded or not. It has more organization than most bags. Although the lap top pocket does not have a separate zipper, the interior pocket for it has easy access without disturbing the contents of the same compartment which has three other pockets within it. The 18" packing folder still fits in that compartment even with the laptop. The only shortcomings of this bag are that the lift loop at the top of the bag does not fit over a rollerbag handle and there is no velcro closed mobile phone pocket on the shoulder strap. The premium brand Tumi would be blessed to sell this bag at 4X the price. After 6 months, I love this bag."

"Very sharp-looking bag. Nice looking bag if you want a backpack but don't want it to look like a large "college-kid" like backpack. I use it at work (50-year old IT manager) and it works great. Well-constructed with just the right number of pockets for laptop, cords, water bottle, notebooks, other stuff. Strong zippers. This bag is extremely well-designed, and functional, and looks good (especially for an older person who wants the convenience of a backpack but doesn't really want it to look like a large backpack)."
