"I am always surprised when I use this bag. I purchased it because I am quite the minimalist packer. I have used this bag for a quick weekend on the neighbor islands as well as a 10 day trip to Hong Kong, a 12 day trip to the UK and will be using it later on this year for 2 weeks in Lisbon and Paris. I do recommend using packing cubes with this bag to help keep everything neat and organized. The compression straps on the outside will help to ensure that this bag with be a carry-on even on the smallest regional European carrier. I roll all of my clothing into this bag if I don't use the packing cubes and it is surprisingly roomy. It can realistically hold up to a weeks worth of clothing and even one pair of sneakers to boot. This is a well thought out and organized bag, ensuring that I didn't have to dig through endless pockets for my documents and even has a key clip so that I knew where my keys were when i got home. Not to mention the separate section for my laptop, that is a great help when on the go. I would recommend the TLS Motherlode Convertible Weekender if you needed a slightly larger bag (that will be my next purchase) for a longer or more extensive trip, but this one has worked so well for me and I love it. I can't wait to answer all the questions other travelers ask me about this bag on my journeys and I'm sure you will love it too."

"Last summer, I first bought the Weekend Convertible full size backpack, which I used on a 2-week trip to Latin America. I am 5ft-8in, a woman, with a long torso. Still, the full size pack was much too big for me, proportionally. eBags sent me the purchase option for the Junior, which I went for. I haven't used it in travel yet (it's been a week, eBags!) but I tried it on, and it's clear the Junior is much, much better sized for me. It is virtually the same width and depth, though. I think it could have been cut down in depth a bit. But the shorter length makes a big difference and I think this one will work out well for me on long or short trips. The width might be a bit much, still, for a woman who was very petite. The straps on the Junior are proportioned better as well, I can tighten them up to a point that will be comfortable with a full pack. With the larger size Convertible, I could never get the straps short enough to feel as if they were supporting the weight of the pack. The Convertible Junior has the same layout inside, as the full sized Convertible, and this is the same comment that I saw on reviews for that size as well: The main compartment is all open, there are no dividers. Things shifted around in the full size backpack and I expect they will in this smaller size, also, so I would recommend organizers. That isn't necessarily a negative, it's just something to plan for. But when using the bigger pack, it was not completely packed full, and even with the compression straps pulled tight, the contents had a tendency to sink to the bottom. The displacement can make a full load pull on the shoulders. I think an optional divider, perhaps with velcro attachments so placement was adjustable, would be an improvement in future designs. It's still a well-designed piece of luggage, and well-made also, up to the eBags brand standard. I think it will hold up well, and I anticipate using it on many trips short and long."

"Very roomy. I was shocked at how much I could put in there. Unfortunately I did make it a little heavy and thought I'd throw my back out. Yes I would purchase again. Not to take up much space but here is what I was able to put in it. 2 shorts, 4 tops, 3 dresses, 2 rompers, 1 pair of jeans, 2 sets pj's, undergarments, socks, 1 flip flop, 2 sandals, heels, all my make up and toiletries. I still had room for more. Next time I'll pack lighter. :)."
