"Originally, I purchased the HS AT3 Sierra-Lite 26" about six years ago. I have taken it on multiple trips throughout North Africa, West Africa, Europe and throughout the USA. I have always checked the bag into the cargo hold and it has never (knock on wood) been damaged. The fabric wears like iron. Tons of space. I have purchased the very same bag for several people, each of which has also taken it to many countries without a problem (no rips, no breaks, etc). I just purchased another for my wife who is giving up her FUL Duffel for this bag. Great choice. The in-line skate wheels are well constructed and protected from being snapped off by a luggage carousel or a disgruntled bag handler. I have also owned a couple of HS backpacks, each has held up marvelously well. I am puzzled by those with negative comments about these bags because my experience has been so supremely positive. My rolling duffel has bounced around in the back of a truck in the Atlas mountains, taxis, trains and even a couple Mercedes Limos. I looked strongly at the eBags Mother Lode TLS and rejected it because of the way the material is attached to a "hard case" backing and the price. The design of the AT3 is superior. I don't believe anyone will go wrong with the AT3 Sierra-Lite 26" Rolling Duffel. Absolutely biggest bang for the buck!!"

"This bag was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a good set of wheels and the ability to carry the bag on my back when needed. I just completed a strenuous two week trip in Vietnam which required a lot of moving. The bag held up well. I am very happy with this purchase."

"I recently bought this bag to take on a ski trip, traveling alone with my 1.5 year-old daughter. It worked fabulously. The lower compartment of the bag gets a lot bigger when you unzip the expanding joint, so my boots and helmet fit easily. There were enough compartments that I could separate out wet swimsuits and really dirty clothes from the rest. Fragile items (electronic kid toys, toiletries, and jewelry) were well protected when packed in the mesh pocket between the 2 compartments and surrounded by clothes. If you are a real organization freak, then I would recommend getting some smaller organizing bags (i.e. the eagle creek or ebags cubes) as well. The backpack straps were comfortable enough so that I could wear the bag when traipsing through the airport and keep my hands free for my daughter (I wouldn't recommend hiking or walking far with this on your back). The handle and wheels also worked just fine. The bag still looks new after being loaded with 48 lbs of stuff round-trip, being thrown about by baggage handlers and wheeled about in snow and slush. In all, I think this is an excellent, well-designed, well-constructed piece of luggage: perfect to hold clothes and gear for 2 people who travel light, or 1 person who likes to take a lot of extras. If you don't need the backpack feature, then the ebags mother lode JUNIOR is a very similar bag (without the expanding joint) that costs a little less. It also held up well during the trip, easily fit my ski boots, and with a little work also fit my helmet in the drop bottom compartment. The ebags mother lode Jr. has an extra long handle which is great for tall people or attaching an extra bag while rolling. On the other hand, I think the internal organization and design of the High Sierra AT3 is somewhat nicer, and with small kids and lots of escalators/moving walkways, the backpack straps for me were a must. If it holds up as well as it seems it will, I would happily buy this again. 1week by regular shipping."
