"I got the High Sierra Titan 55 because it is made for children and therefore smaller. I'm 5ft 2in and about 100 lbs, and also have a shorter-than-normal torso so I needed something that had a smaller torso length. I took this pack on a 5 week backpacking trip through central Europe. I was pleased with how this pack fit, even though it took me a while to figure out the best adjustments so it would sit correctly on my hips/shoulders. It did bruise me a bit around the hips and could definitely have used more cushioning, but I expected as much from a less expensive pack. The bad rating is due to the durability of the pack itself. My friend traveling with me got the same one, since it was cost effective(different color and ordered from different site at different times), and throughout our trip both broke in the same or similar places for NO reason. We weren't doing anything strenuous to the material, over-packing it, pulling on it excessively, etc. My chest strap broke on my first day which made the backpack pull on my shoulders throughout the trip, clips on our waist bands broke (which weren't very necessary, just inconvenient), and both of the straps on both of our packs that connect the front outer pocket to the main compartment pulled completely out of the seam just while tightening them. Hers pulled out towards the beginning of the trip and mine towards the end. I loved the different compartments of the bag and thought it was great for the price up until the those straps totally pulled out like they had barely been sewn on. Sorry for the bad news, but I hope this is helpful."

"I have been researching Back Packs for quite sometime. I watched videos and did a lot of research. I might add I was also looking for budget friendly and quality. Then I came on this Titan 55. I watched the video, read the reviews and the description and decided this would fit my needs. The bag arrived and I have been filling it since its arrival in May. Basically I am making a survival/disaster bag. This bag has lots of compartments and this was a must. It has a place for a sleeping bag also a must. It needed to hold all my needs and it does. For example, currently it is holding, (and I make these bags up myself in one gallon ziploc bags for easy packing and organization) warming kit, first aid kit, communications kit, mess kit, lighting kit, hygiene kit, food and water packets, long underwear, socks, wool sweater and slacks. This bag is still not full and these ziploc gallon bags are stuffed. I brought carboneers for the daisy chains and I have odds and ends hanging on them, sewing kit,a small flashlight etc. Because the bag itself is lightweight even with all the gear it is not all that heavy. The bag's design and compartments keep the weight distributed evenly. The padding on the shoulder straps makes it fairly comfortable and the fact you can adjust the torso length is great as I am a smaller size woman. I am amazed how much it will hold and I can still carrying it with little effort. This bag also has compartments on the waist band and a cellphone holder on the shoulder strap. Another good point is the color. It comes in black and silver, blue and green. I chose black and silver because in that type of scenerio I would want a bag that would not attract attention. This one won't. Everything about this bag is perfect and it has a waterproof cover. This bag has it all for a good price. Hope this review helps."

"Great backpack for the money. Used this bag when I backpacked Europe for 3 weeks and it was great no issues whatsoever. Very roomy with several nifty compartments. I am 5 ft 9 in. 160 lbs and it fits me perfectly."
