"On a recent flight aboard a 737-300, I eyed the aisle seat storage area, smaller than the middle and window seat spaces, and was highly doubtful this would fit...but it did! It was line to line, but it slid all the way in the there. Most of the bags I've looked at were larger than this one and would never had made it, although they may have worked with other planes/seats.
Onto the lists...
*It has wheels, and a long handle.
*Construction is sturdy. The handle is padded and comfortable.
*It's square shape makes it easy to heft into overhead bins even when full, unlike more unwieldy rectangular cases.
*It has 3 separate compartments with double zippers.
*It fits under seats, even smaller ones. Most of the "underseat" carry-ons I tried wouldn't fit under any seat, or at least not the seats I wind up sitting in.
*For reference, you can fit an iPad in the front pocket provided it's in a slim case. I also fit a 20oz. bottle of water in the front pocket standing up, with its top poking out of the double zipper.
*As with all wheeled luggage, the handle takes up space in the main compartment.
*The more robust construction makes it a bit heavier than other cases I tried. It was still easy to lift even when full, largely because of its square shape and comfortable handle.
*It desperately needs a pocket on the back for papers, boarding passes, etc.
*There is no shoulder strap. I wouldn't want this dangling from my shoulder anyway, but some want that option.
*There is no loop to slip the case over the handle of a larger suitcase. I prefer not to carry my luggage that way--I find it makes everything much too heavy--but for those who would like to, this doesn't have it.
*It's not easy to overstuff. The natural room you've got in a given pocket is pretty much all you've got, plus filling the inside pockets reduces space in the main compartments."
"Outstanding bag. I had to return on similar to this and was surprised to see the difference in the bags. Quality is excellent. Surprisingly, the actual reason I purchased this one was because of a review on this bag. The gentleman said that it fit under the seat of a 737-300 which is the flight I'm taking in a month or so. Back to the bag. Couldn't be more pleased with all parts of the bag from organization to size."
