"I wanted a light-weight, durable, and collapsible backpack for travel. This fit the bill! I used it for three weeks in Africa and was delighted with it. It does not appear to be very durable, but indeed it is. Its pockets worked well too."
"GREAT BAG have bought 3 of them over the years!! PROS: Lightweight, versatile, travel-ready, gym-ready, daily use with young kids in tow. Some possible CONS: a little formless (but how practical overrules this and for it to be so LIGHTWEIGHT, it can't have too much structure or extra material. As long as you're ok with that, or can pack with a little organization, you'll love this bag!!! I hope Patagonia never discontinues this style.
Can't say enough how useful this bag was when I had 2 toddlers. Had my handsfree, could pack everything I need as in a diaper bag... Yet now, they're older, I can use it as my daily gym bag, or day-to-day bag for going out shopping.
One caveat-- because it's so lightweight, it can't hold super dense or heavy stuff- like a laptop with other notebooks. I feel the weight is just too much and afraid the rip-stop material will not hold up. Other than that, bag is great for everyday use.
OH, and I always fold this up into its own sac, and throw it in my suitcase when I travel- no bulk, and an extra bag for when I hike or shop, or just need as an extra carry-on!
EXCELLENT bag. Gender neutral. My husband feels comfortable shlepping it around too. Keep them coming and hope for more colors- loved the silvery grey in the past."
