"Received this bag on a Friday and used it for business travel (four flights) the following week. The size is small enough to qualify as your personal item and still allow a regular carry-on. Dimensions are perfect.
It's attractive and highly functional with two main compartments and one flat zippered pouch across the front of the bag, medium length carry handles and a retractable double post handle.
It's very easy to pack and organize, fits under a small commuter aisle seat and was easy to lift into the overhead bin on a larger flight. Double zippers on the two main compartments make it easy to access.
The NEGATIVE: the zipper to the main compartment separated about five inches when the TSA agent zipped closed after screening for the FIRST flight of my trip. She did not treat the bag roughly and I had no reason to think there was any issue with the bag.
Thankfully, I needed to access medicine and that's when I noticed that the zipper on the main compartment had separated.
I managed to gently work the zipper back and forth til it caught and closed, while under stress waiting for boarding to be called. I've learned to travel with large safety pins and was able to pin across the area where the zipper had separated.
Wasn't sure what I'd find after the flight as the bag had to be valet checked plane-side. Thankfully the safety pins held, as did the zipper.
The two main zippers separated a total of four times over a two-day business trip and I relied upon the large safety pins to secure contents. The bag was not stuffed, was not even full, so it's a sub-standard plastic zipper issue, not an over-filled bag problem.
It's a shame the zippers aren't reliable as the overall design, functionality and size of this bag is perfect.
Hoping Sacroots will upgrade to a higher quality zipper for all compartments."
