"It does what it's suppose to do - weigh stuff. It appears to be quite accurate. Its best feature is that it has a dial that stays put to give you a "recorded reading" of what you just weighed. That's very handy. Thanks Samsonite for that feature - it sure helps."
"it is heavier than was indicated in the online description. ad says 3 oz - it is about 8 oz.. also a bit larger than i had pictured. however, it does not use batteries which most others do, so i will never be on vacation and not able to use it. just came home from vacation with both of our suitcases weighing in at 19.5 K - just under limit. i will take it every time we travel."
"Upon receiving the item, I had high expectations. The exterior part of the scale is made of hard plastic, but the interior seems to be mostly metal. I weighed several things in order to test the capabilities of the scale. First, I weighed a 26 lb. piece of luggage (half packed). Second, I weighed an 11 lb. piece of empty luggage. Third, I weighed a 52 lb. piece of fully packed luggage. Lastly, I weighed a 65 lb. piece of packed to the brim luggage. The scale handled just fine for every piece of luggage. There was one drawback. On the 65 lb. piece, the metal triangle had bent in half and was dangling on the nylon strap. I took the luggage off the triangle and clamped it shut, repositioned where the gap in the triangle was and it worked fine. Thus, the scale seems to do just fine for anything under 60 lbs. Luckily, I will never have to weigh a piece of luggage that weighs that much, but it still is kind of disappointing since the box says it'll handle 80 lbs. Yes, it might handle the 80, but it might not be reusable after. 3 stars, no more and no less."
