90% or more of customers must say they would recommend it.
"Bought this to replace a very used travel backpack. This bag is just as big but has many more pockets for storage. Holds plenty of clothing (3-4 days worth) including jeans/fleece sweatshirt and unzips for extra expansion. Bag is wide enough for me to travel with high heels packed in their shoebox. Heavy duty straps hold content's weight easily. Zippers run smoothly. Will be perfect as an airplane carry-on."
"This bag was purchased to replace a duffel bag. I needed something big enough to carry sparring gear, clothes and all the other stuff you'd take with you to the gym. After 2 months of use (used the pack 4-5 times a week, taken on public transit.),the left side connection point where the shoulder strap connects to the lower part of the pack tore clean off.
The biggest downfall of this pack is the entire shoulder strap system. Placement of the straps need to be lowered as the pack is 2 feet tall and doesn't sit properly on my back, making wearing the pack uncomfortable (I'm 6ft) even with the waistbelt, making the waistbelt useless. The connection points need to be re-designed and reinforced. The ability to detach the shoulder straps and tuck them into the rear panel of the pack needs to be removed."
"I keep a ballistic vest and nylon duty belt (and other things) in this bag, so I can transition from court appearances, interviews on school campuses, to tactical gear and duty. I have everything with me ALWAYS, even if I have no "plans" for the S hitting the fan (who ever does?).
The bag is well made, spacious, and I've gotten a few comments (positive). Some people think it's overkill, but being prepared isn't something for which I'll ever apologize. They can thank me later.
The metal snap which attaches the lowest portion of the shoulder strap to the d-ring on the base of the bag was crushed prior to my receiving the bag. I have done a field-expedient fix of the latch using electrical tape. A call to SOC resulted in their promising to send a replacement snap, I haven't received it yet, hopefully soon.
I'd buy this bag again, I hope it holds up (I expect it will). I pack my gear in and out of several cars, in and out of the office, and access the compartments daily. Not rigorous use, but daily use. Room for everything, keeps everything with me, no stress about leaving things where I won't have them (ie at the office) and with a one-bag/one-grab system for go-time I'm happy! Happy hunting, stay safe out there."
"I carried this same bag in Iraq for a year and a half and also offshore during the Gulf oil spill for 7 months. I was so impressed by it's practicality, organization and performance that I bought one for my 21 yr old son who is also a medic. It makes a great backpack, bugout bag, or travel bag for security contractor types, or those working in remote areas. I am a remote medic by trade and would recommend this bag for anyone in a similar trade."
"This is the second SOC backpack I have purchased. I love this one as good or better than the first. I love the exterior pockets. The expandable main pocket lets you get everything you need for a long trip into the pack. My only complaint with this pack is that the waist band does not tuck into the back pad like previous versions. I had to completely take the waist band off to ensure it didn't get torn up by baggage handling. Short of that, this is an awesome pack."
"Nice compartments and sub organization inside the individual compartments. Zippers and zipper tabs need to be better quality (beefier zippers and chunkier zip tabs would have made this bag really nice. Back straps and waist strap are light and seem durable.
I took a job in ND, in the oilfields, and needed a 3+ day pack. I'll know how it holds up after some time."
"Great durability and toughness, no need to worry about cheap foreign made junk, fittings, sewed seams or zippers with this bag. Nice quality. I enjoy the ability to either carry it normally or throw it on my back so my hands are free."
