"As expats we travel frequently and also on less travelled roads / more unusual destinations. We have tried our fair share of luggage and the North face stuff tends to last much better then most of the Samsonite or other higher end brands we tried.Especially the pull bar system is nice and sturdy. The bag has no extra thrills which tends to always the first to break anyway so another thing I like. I also like that the bag is not very heavy so I can max out weight on the content. The fabric is thin (we are used to TNF Duffels) but proves very strong. We now travel with 2 kids under 3 and hence need bags that allow us to stow in loads easily and pack quickly including weird shaped kiddy gear. Having just one huge compartment like in this bag helps with that. Only issue is that if you do not think through your packing and forget to put heavier stuff at the bottom / wheel end the bag it will not stand up that well. I have not had the need to but I would be comfortable putting my diving gear in this bag (although I prefer the sturdy duffels for that) and we also use it for weekends away meaning the bag is in my open truck bed for hours and can withstand light rain. So far the black has not faded from the UV exposure. Packed the bag tends to be at Airline weight limit meaning it is the right size for us. The price puts me off a little and if it would be 20 - 25 cheaper I would probably replace a few other pieces I have."

"I particularly like the build quality of the handle/wheel base; it feels extremely sturdy. I haven't owned it long enough/used it on enough trips to be sure of its durability, but so far so good. I also like that it isn't prone to tipping over, as one might expect from such a tall, narrow, lightweight bag."

"I bought this because I have 2 of the 19" Wayfinders which I LOVE! I wanted to love this bag too but it's just not as good. The added length without adjustments to the bottom of the bag makes it wobbly when standing upright. It often falls over if not properly weighted inside. I lime it enough not to return it but mostly because I can't be bothered to package it back up :(."
